Boise State University Unveils Hemingway Mobility Hub on October 28: 3 Shelters with 24 Charging Outlets

Wednesday, October 28, 2026 · States · GSM News

Boise State University in Boise, Ada County, Idaho, announced on October 28 the opening of its Hemingway Mobility Hub, located near the Hemingway Building, between the campus recreation center and the student union. The hub gives students, faculty and staff a central place to park and charge personal mobility devices such as bicycles, e-bikes and scooters.

The university said the hub includes three covered shelters, 24 charging outlets and parking spaces for bicycles and other personal devices, making it easier to find parking and charge an e-bike on campus. The project was led by the university's Office of Sustainability and funded through the school's partnership with Coca-Cola.

The hub is one of a batch of projects the university completed in October, which also included restroom upgrades at the Morrison Center, the ESI construction management building and improvements to the Boise River Greenbelt.

Opening during the fall semester, the facility is meant to encourage students and staff to use green transportation to get around campus and reduce reliance on car parking. The university did not specify the hub's hours or vehicle management rules in its announcement; students and staff should watch for follow-up campus notices.
