Bank of America Announces 19 New Wisconsin Branches and 130 New Jobs by 2030

Wisconsin received bank expansion news on October 28, 2026: Bank of America announced plans to open 19 new branches in Wisconsin by 2030, creating 130 jobs, and said it will open new branches nationwide at a pace of 50 per year.
According to an October 28 Reuters report, the bank also plans to open 10 new branches in Birmingham, Alabama, starting in the first quarter of 2027, and to expand in the greater New Orleans area in the second half of 2027.
Holly O'Neill, Bank of America's president of consumer, retail and preferred banking, said the bank will continue to strengthen and expand its branch network strategically, aiming to cover more of the U.S. population, with locations chosen based on each market's growth, population size and business opportunities.
Bank of America currently operates 3,500 branches and financial centers nationwide, covering 83 percent of the U.S. population, and has invested more than $5 billion in its branch network since 2016. Even as digital banking grows rapidly, large banks continue to compete for regional markets through physical locations, and the 19 new Wisconsin branches will be an important part of the bank's Midwest footprint.
