Follow-Up: Penguins Forward Ben Kindel Returns to Practice a Week After In-Flight Medical Episode; Status for Oct. 29 vs. Utah Unclear

PITTSBURGH, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania — Pittsburgh Penguins forward Ben Kindel returned to practice on October 27, one week after he collapsed from a vasovagal episode about 10 minutes after the team plane took off from Salt Lake City on October 20, forcing the flight to return; he spent a night in the hospital under observation and was placed on injured reserve.
'It's in the past now... just gotta move forward,' Kindel told reporters. As of the morning of October 28, the team had not confirmed whether he will play in the October 29 home game against the Utah Mammoth.
According to team and league figures, Kindel has 2 goals and 2 assists in 9 games this season.
GSM previously reported the October 20 in-flight episode, his overnight hospital observation and his placement on injured reserve after returning to Pittsburgh; this is the latest development in that story.
