SALEM, Ore. — Governor Tina Kotek announced on October 28 that she has appointed Victoria E. Dethloff to the Union and Wallowa County Circuit Court in Oregon's 10th Judicial District. The appointment is effective January 1, 2027, and fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Thomas B. Powers, which takes effect December 31, 2026.

"I am pleased to appoint Victoria Dethloff to serve as circuit court judge for the 10th Judicial District," Governor Kotek said. "Her years of experience serving the community as a prosecutor and knowledge of the community will serve Union and Wallowa Counties well."

Dethloff received her juris doctorate from Willamette University College of Law, a bachelor's degree in business administration from Oregon State University, and a master's degree in public administration from American Public University. She has served as the Wallowa County district attorney since 2021, and previously worked in private practice and as a deputy district attorney in Wallowa and Umatilla Counties. She serves the community in Joseph, Oregon, as a member of both the Joseph City Council and the Joseph City Charter Review Committee.
