Casper, Natrona County, Wyoming: Ur-Energy, America's largest domestic in-situ recovery uranium producer, announced on October 29 that it has begun a 120-hole exploration drilling program totaling about 84,000 feet at its Lost Creek South project in Wyoming, aimed at near-mine expansion around its flagship property and at testing new resource targets.

Lost Creek South is part of the Lost Creek property, a 55-square-mile land package hosting the company's flagship mine and processing hub; the project lies immediately adjacent to the existing mine resource area and covers about 16 square miles of the package. Drilling will test a series of high-priority areas along a seven-mile composite mineralized trend, including three primary trends and deeper, less-defined trends, with up to three rigs running at once and holes generally 500 to 800 feet deep, occasionally up to 1,000 feet.

The drill targets are based on data from about 520 historic holes at Lost Creek South, many of them shallow, while the current mine resource occupies less than 10 percent of the overall land package.
