Texas Longhorns Injury Report Out Oct. 28: Simmons Questionable, Tackle Goosby Out for Season
The Texas Longhorns football team in Austin, Travis County, Texas, released its first SEC-mandated availability report of the week on the night of Oct. 28, ahead of the Oct. 31 home game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
Star edge rusher Colin Simmons is listed as questionable: he suffered a high ankle sprain against Florida two weeks ago, was expected to miss three to four weeks, and is about 50-50 to play. Left tackle Trevor Goosby is out for the season after injuring his knee last week against Ole Miss; his surgery went well. Freshman edge rusher Richard Wesley is also out.
Running back Hollywood Smothers and wide receivers Kaliq Lockett and Cam Coleman are all listed as probable. The report is an initial status and will be updated before kickoff Saturday.
