Washington, District of Columbia: 1882 Foundation Hosts Halloween Mahjong Night at Chinatown Park on the Evening of October 29

The 1882 Foundation in Washington, District of Columbia, hosts a Halloween Mahjong Night on October 29 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Chinatown Park, on I Street between 5th and 6th Streets NW. The event is open to all on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants may bring their own mahjong set, and Halloween costumes are encouraged but not required.
The 1882 Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the history and legacy of the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882, and its Talk Story community dialogue series regularly holds events in Washington's Chinatown.
The mahjong night combines the Halloween season with mahjong, a familiar pastime in the Chinese community, bringing residents of different backgrounds together at Chinatown Park. Event details are as listed in the foundation's published calendar.
