Portland Trail Blazers Recall Chinese Center Yang Hansen on Oct. 29, Ending Brief G League Assignment

The Portland Trail Blazers announced on Oct. 29 that they have recalled second-year center Yang Hansen from their NBA G League affiliate, the Rip City Remix, ending his brief assignment. The team's public relations account posted the official announcement on social media that day.
The recall came ahead of the Blazers' home game against the Memphis Grizzlies on the night of Oct. 29, and the recall itself does not guarantee that Yang will play in the game. Just one day earlier, the Blazers had assigned Yang to the Remix after their win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
So far this season Yang has appeared in only one of the Blazers' first three games, scoring 5 points with 3 rebounds against the Phoenix Suns, and did not play against the Sacramento Kings or the Lakers. For the Chinese center, returning to the NBA roster is the first step, and he will still have to earn his way back into the rotation in practices and games. The Blazers have started the season strongly, and the Oct. 29 game was a matchup between two unbeaten teams.
