Law Enforcement Searches Two Autism Services Providers in the Twin Cities on Oct. 29 in Medicaid Fraud Investigation

The Minnesota Attorney General's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit and federal law enforcement executed search warrants on Oct. 29 at two autism services providers in the Twin Cities: Iska, Inc. in St. Louis Park and Bright Horizon Therapy Center in Edina. The Minnesota Department of Health and Human Services and the FBI also took part in the searches.
Attorney General Keith Ellison said both organizations provide autism services and other Medicaid-funded services, and that the action is part of ongoing efforts to crack down on fraud and hold wrongdoers accountable. Also on Oct. 29, early voting in Minneapolis set a record: by the close of business on Oct. 28, the city elections office had accepted 52,661 early ballots, surpassing the 2018 non-presidential election record of 52,313.
Law enforcement has not announced whether the searches will lead to criminal charges, and the investigation is ongoing.
