Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania: Six Eagles Miss Practice for a Second Straight Day in Oct. 29 Injury Report; Barkley's Status vs. Commanders in Doubt

The Philadelphia Eagles released their second injury report of the week on October 29, with six players missing practice for a second straight day ahead of the team's road game against the Washington Commanders on Sunday, November 1. The six absentees were running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring and back), wide receivers DeVonta Smith (hamstring), Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) and Britain Covey (knee), linebacker Jihaad Campbell (hamstring and quadriceps) and cornerback Jonathan Jones (hamstring). Unlike Wednesday, October 28, when participation was estimated from a walkthrough, the October 29 report came from the team's first full practice of the week, giving the absences added weight.
Barkley's absence drew the most attention. He had previously missed two games with the hamstring injury and returned on Monday, October 26 against the Dallas Cowboys, but left early with the back injury as the team lost 38–21 to fall to 2–5. The Eagles' running back room is already thin: Dameon Pierce was placed on injured reserve on October 28, leaving Elijah Mitchell and Jaydon Blue as the only other running backs on the active roster.
Six other players were listed as limited participants, including Jonathan Greenard, Jalyx Hunt, Nolan Smith, Moro Ojomo, Michael Carter II and Marcus Epps. The team will release its final injury report on Friday, October 30, when the game status of Barkley and others should become clearer.
