Boise State Holds Investiture for Eighth President David W. Hahn on October 29, Presenting 'We Are One Boise State' Vision

Boise State University held the investiture ceremony for its eighth president, David W. Hahn, at the Morrison Center in Boise on October 29, attended by students, faculty, staff and community members. In his inaugural address, Hahn presented the theme “We Are One Boise State” and his goals for the university, the university reported.
Hahn emphasized that Idaho's future is closely tied to Boise State's students, faculty and staff, as well as to sister universities, elected officials, taxpayers, employers and the wider community. Kurt Liebich, president of the Idaho State Board of Education, said at the ceremony that the board had been unanimous in appointing Hahn. Hahn has worked in higher education for more than 30 years and most recently served as dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Arizona.
The ceremony featured the ROTC Honor Color Guard, the Boise State Bronco Battalion, the University Meistersingers and the Blue Thunder Marching Band, along with a procession of faculty in academic regalia, and Idaho Governor Brad Little also spoke. The university said more of Hahn's vision is available on its “One Boise State” webpage.
The investiture marked Hahn's formal presentation of his direction for the university; the announcement included no specific enrollment or budget figures.
