The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on October 29 released the latest batch of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) "Worst of the Worst" arrests: five illegal aliens with serious criminal convictions were arrested on October 28 in New York, Nebraska, Florida, Massachusetts and Alabama, with convictions including murder, first-degree sexual assault and drug trafficking.

According to the list, Gerald King, from Jamaica, was convicted of murder in Syracuse, New York; Victor Carmona-Hernandez, from Mexico, was convicted of first-degree sexual assault in Douglas County, Nebraska; Armando Suarez, from Cuba, was convicted of drug trafficking, larceny and possession of forged credit cards in Miami, Florida; Jonathan Jerry De Araujo-Lima, from Brazil, was convicted of armed robbery, intimidation of a witness and larceny in Shirley, Massachusetts; and Margarito Martinez-Rebollar, from Mexico, was convicted of theft of property and aggravated surveillance in Jefferson County, Alabama.

Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said ICE officers are making the arrests even as assaults against them have risen by more than 1,600%. "Under President Trump, DHS does not pick and choose which laws to enforce. We will continue to carry out the American people's mandate to arrest and remove illegal aliens from our nation," he said.

DHS said the arrests are part of what it calls the largest mass deportation effort in American history, and that it continues to publish the names of those arrested on its "WOW" webpage.
