ICE 'Lone Star Mission' Arrests 4,170 Across Texas in Ten Days, Homeland Security Secretary Announces in Dallas

The Department of Homeland Security announced on October 29 that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), in its "Lone Star Mission" operation from October 19 to 29, arrested 4,170 people across Texas in a coordinated effort by five field offices. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin announced the figure at a press conference in Dallas.
DHS highlighted arrestees including Javier Hernandez Alcon, Orlando Aguilar, Ramon Antonio Martinez, Gerardo Daniel Rivera-Rivera and Victor Manuel Macias-Castro, saying each has a criminal record and was among the operation's priority targets.
The operation is among ICE's largest recent single-state coordinated efforts, and is separate from the agency's recurring "Worst of the Worst" arrest announcements.
