Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin: Governor Tony Evers announced on October 29 that annual vehicle admission passes for Wisconsin state parks, sold through the state Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV), have topped 51,300 passes sold, generating more than $1.5 million in revenue.

The arrangement lets residents buy a state park annual pass while handling vehicle registration business at the DMV, without a separate trip to a park entrance or a separate online purchase. The sales and revenue figures were released by the Governor's office.

Annual admission passes are an important revenue source for the Wisconsin state park system. A pass allows a vehicle unlimited entry to state parks across Wisconsin during its validity period, and the revenue supports the park system's operations and upkeep.
