Brady Withdraws Injured from Nov. 7 UFC Vegas 124 Main Event in Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada: Bonfim Left Without an Opponent as UFC Seeks a Replacement

According to an October 29 report, welterweight Sean Brady has withdrawn because of an injury from his scheduled main event against Gabriel Bonfim at UFC Vegas 124 on November 7 at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, leaving Bonfim temporarily without an opponent. The news was first reported by Brazilian journalist Laerte Viana and confirmed by MMA Fighting; the nature of Brady's injury has not been disclosed. Brady (19–2) was looking to build on his unanimous decision victory over Joaquin Buckley in May and strengthen his position in the division with the headlining bout. Bonfim (20–1) has won five consecutive fights, most recently defeating former welterweight champion Belal Muhammad by unanimous decision in June. The UFC is searching for a short-notice replacement to face Bonfim; if no suitable opponent is found in time, Bonfim could also come off the November 7 card entirely. The scheduled co-main event, a women's strawweight matchup between Tatiana Suarez and Virna Jandiroba, has not been affected by the main-event change.
