Friday, October 30, 2026 · City · GSM News

The 28th & B Skate Park in the City of Sacramento, Sacramento County, California, will hold a free open house on Sunday, November 1, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 20 28th Street inside Sutter's Landing Regional Park. No reservation is required; food trucks and community resource booths will be on site, and Councilmember Phil Pluckebaum will attend.

The skate park is operated by the city's Department of Youth, Parks and Community Enrichment in partnership with Rob Skate Academy. Following the open house, public skate sessions begin November 4: Wednesdays through Fridays from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The city said regular sessions beyond the public hours will require a monthly membership.

Sutter's Landing is a regional park along the American River, and the 28th & B Skate Park is among its most popular facilities for young people. The city encouraged parents to bring children to the open house to see the terrain and learn the rules before deciding on a membership.

The open house is free. Participants should bring their own boards and protective gear, and minors must be accompanied by an adult. Details are on the city's parks events pages at the City of Sacramento website.
