Film: A24 Releases Slayground Official Teaser: Haunted Attraction Actor Wakes to a Mass Casualty Event as Synopsis Is Confirmed
A24 has released the official teaser for the thriller Slayground. The film is written and directed by Jeremy Saulnier and was previously known under the working title October. It is his first feature since Rebel Ridge. The film was previously set for theaters on January 29, 2027.
The story begins on the night of October 24 with a mass casualty event inside a haunted attraction. In A24's official synopsis, scare actor Metal Mike Graves wakes up in the attraction surrounded by the dead bodies of his co-workers, with no memory of how they got there. As a statewide manhunt closes in, he races to uncover the truth, even if the trail leads straight back to him.
The cast includes Cory Michael Smith, Chase Sui Wonders, Sophie Wilde, James Badge Dale, Stanley Simons, Young Mazino, Imogen Poots, Matty Matheson and Stephen Root. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are among the musicians credited on the film.
A24 promoted the film in advance with a campaign built around a seemingly real haunted attraction, before the teaser confirmed the title, the premise and the release date together.
