NIS America: The Grimm Reapress and the Drearytale Monster Launches in the West on May 13, 2027 for Switch 2, Switch, PS5 and PC
NIS America announced on October 29 that the storybook adventure The Grimm Reapress and the Drearytale Monster will launch in the West on May 13, 2027, for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
The game is developed by Nippon Ichi Software and was originally released in Japan on April 30, 2026, under the title Shinigami Hime to Ishokan no Kaibutsu. It comes from the team behind The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince.
In the game's world, a magical disease called Paper Mortis is turning people into picture books, and picture books into monsters. The protagonist, Mono, sets out to save her sister and joins forces with a monster bent on vengeance for a journey through a storybook world.
The Western release features Japanese audio with English subtitles. NIS America has opened the game's official site at nisamerica.com/grimm-reapress and published a release date announcement trailer.
