Louisville CBP Intercepts 460 Counterfeit Watches Worth $66 Million If Genuine

Friday, October 30, 2026 · Federal · GSM News

In Louisville, Kentucky, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced on October 30 that officers at the Port of Louisville stopped a shipment on October 23 containing 460 counterfeit watches. Had the watches been genuine, the shipment would have had a combined manufacturer's suggested retail price of $66 million.

The counterfeit watches were seized. CBP said it protects the intellectual property rights of American businesses through an aggressive enforcement program at ports of entry across the country, and that counterfeit watches and jewelry consistently rank among the highest-value categories of goods it seizes.
