New Permanent Sculpture 'Jambo' by David Stromeyer Unveiled Oct. 30 at South Burlington's Veterans Memorial Park

A new permanent sculpture, 'Jambo,' by sculptor David Stromeyer, was unveiled at 5 p.m. on October 30 at Veterans Memorial Park in South Burlington, Chittenden County, Vermont, at 1000 Dorset Street near the park entrance at Dorset and Swift streets, with remarks and refreshments. The work joins the city's public art collection through the donation and collaboration of community member Todd Lockwood.
City officials said the sculpture enriches the memorial park's public-art landscape and gives residents a new community cultural landmark. Stromeyer is a Vermont sculptor known for large-scale outdoor metal works.
