Alabama Governor Ivey Announces $9.3 Million in Growing Alabama Funding for Five Industrial Sites, With Dothan Receiving the Largest $3.5 Million Award

In Montgomery, Montgomery County, Alabama, Governor Kay Ivey announced on October 30 that more than $9.3 million in Growing Alabama funding will improve five industrial sites across the state to help communities better attract quality jobs.
The awards come through the Growing Alabama Tax Credit program, which uses private dollars to improve publicly owned sites. The five awards are $2.2 million for the Aliceville Industrial Park, $3.5 million for the Westgate Super Site in Dothan, $611,162 for the Conners Island Business Park in Guntersville, $1 million for the Cogswell Industrial Park in Pell City, and $2.1 million for the Heritage Industrial Park in Walker County.
Ivey said the investment will help communities compete for new industries and future expansions. Commerce Secretary Ellen McNair said investing in site readiness today lays the groundwork for tomorrow's jobs. More than $29 million is available under the program this year; Ivey announced about $20 million in awards in May, and over 35 percent of 2026 funding has gone to rural Targeted Counties.
