Texas: November SSI Payment Arrives Early on Oct. 30; Dallas Chinese Seniors Reminded It Is Not an Extra Benefit

Dallas, Dallas County, Texas — In the Social Security Administration's November payment schedule, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) will be paid early, on Oct. 30, because Nov. 1 falls on a Sunday — a change Chinese-American seniors and disability beneficiaries in Dallas should note, Dallas-area Chinese-language media reported Oct. 28, citing Fox LA.
SSI serves older adults, people with disabilities and eligible blind individuals with limited income and assets, and is normally paid on the first of the month; when that day falls on a weekend or federal holiday, payment moves to the preceding business day. The Oct. 30 deposit is therefore November's benefit, not an extra payment. Regular November Social Security benefits will be paid in four batches by birth date and benefit start date, on Nov. 3, 10, 18 and 25; the Nov. 10 batch is arranged a day early because of the Nov. 11 Veterans Day federal holiday.
Families receiving SSI should budget around the Oct. 30 deposit and not expect a second November payment; questions about payment timing can be directed to the Social Security Administration's official channels.
