Utah House Ratings Final Update: All 11 Changes across 75 Districts Move toward Democrats, Republican-Leaning Seats Fall to 53

Utah — Utah Political Watch published its final pre-election ratings for the state House of Representatives on October 30, rating all 75 districts. Eleven districts changed in this update, and for the third consecutive time every change moved toward the Democrats.
The changes include four Republican seats moving into the toss-up column, four seats moving from "likely Republican" to "lean Republican," and one seat moving from "safe Republican" to "likely Republican." Republicans led in 61 seats in August and 57 seats plus three toss-ups in September; they now lead in 53 seats with seven toss-ups. Since August, all 21 rating changes have favored the Democrats.
The ratings are based on the final pre-election campaign finance reports, covering fundraising through October 22, and on the national political environment, with Democrats leading the generic ballot by about nine points.
All Utah House seats will be decided in the November 3 midterm elections, and the raters cautioned that final results will depend on turnout in the last days.
