The Florida Panthers defeated the Winnipeg Jets 5-2 on Oct. 30 at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Broward County, Florida, for their third straight win. Winnipeg lost its eighth straight game (0-6-2), two short of the franchise record of 10.

Anton Lundell recorded his first career hat trick for Florida, scoring at 2:38 of the second period, again at 13:33 of the third period, and into an empty net at 18:21, in his 373rd regular-season game. Seth Jones had a goal and two assists, Sam Reinhart had a goal and an assist, and Akira Schmid made 22 saves to win his third consecutive start. Florida beat Winnipeg for the second time in two days.

Kyle Connor and Morgan Barron scored for Winnipeg. Nico Daws, acquired from New Jersey last week, made his first start for the Jets and stopped 33 of 37 shots.

Reinhart opened the scoring on the power play at 18:15 of the first period. Connor scored during a 5-on-3 advantage in the second period, and Barron cut it to 3-2 in the third period before Lundell's two late goals put the game away.
