Georgia Beats Florida 27-8 in Jacksonville Rivalry as Gators Commit Four Turnovers

The University of Georgia Bulldogs beat the University of Florida Gators 27-8 on October 31 in the rivals' annual meeting in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida.
Florida committed four turnovers, its offense did not score until the fourth quarter, and costly penalties repeatedly set the Gators back. Georgia built the lead in the first half and took a 24-0 advantage into halftime.
In the second half, backup quarterback Tramell Jones Jr. came on after the Gators' two starting quarterbacks threw interceptions, and he scored Florida's only touchdown on a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter, followed by a two-point conversion. But Georgia answered with a clock-draining field-goal drive and closed out the 27-8 win.
