Saturday, October 31, 2026 · States · GSM News

Alabama Governor Kay Ivey released a video message on October 30 encouraging Alabamians to vote in the November 3 general election. Polls across the state will be open on Tuesday, November 3, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and registered voters must bring a valid photo ID.

“Alabama's future will be shaped by the people we send to Montgomery and Washington, and that decision belongs to you,” Governor Kay Ivey said. She said the state is experiencing historic momentum in areas such as job creation, education, infrastructure and public safety, and that she wants that progress to continue for future generations. “So, y'all, get to the polls on November 3.”

Alabamians will vote in several major races, including for governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of state and other statewide offices, as well as one seat in the United States Senate. Voters will also elect members of the U.S. House of Representatives and the Alabama Legislature, with every seat in the State House and Senate on the ballot. Along with four statewide constitutional amendments, voters, depending on where they live, may also see judicial and local races and local amendments.

The governor's office said 2026 election information can be found on the Secretary of State's website.
