Aleksanteri Kaskimaki scored his first career goal with 6:45 remaining to cap the St. Louis Blues' rally from a two-goal third-period deficit in a 5-4 win over the Detroit Red Wings on October 31.

Kaskimaki, playing his 11th NHL game, tipped in an Alexey Toropchenko pass. Dalibor Dvorsky, Jimmy Snuggerud, Pavel Buchnevich and Justin Barron scored the Blues' other goals, with Buchnevich and Barron striking in the third period to tie the game. Snuggerud's goal was his team-high eighth of the season, and Joel Hofer made 24 saves as St. Louis opened a four-game road trip.

Lucas Raymond had a goal and an assist for Detroit, while J.T. Compher and Keegan Kolesar scored their first goals of the season and Emmitt Finnie added a power-play goal. According to Reuters, it was Detroit's second game since former captain Dylan Larkin was suspended without pay after leaving the team to seek a trade.
