Georgia Beat Florida 27-8: Four Turnovers, a 217-48 Rushing Edge and a Sixth Straight Rivalry Win

No. 3 Georgia beat No. 17 Florida 27-8 on October 31 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, as Chris Cole returned a fumble 66 yards for a touchdown and the Bulldogs forced four turnovers to win the rivalry game for the sixth straight time.
Georgia led 24-0 at halftime on 1-yard scoring runs by Bo Walker and Nate Frazier and outrushed Florida 217-48.
Georgia improved to 7-1 overall and 5-1 in the SEC, bouncing back from a last-second 27-24 loss to Auburn on October 17. Florida fell to 5-3 and 3-3 in the conference, unable to follow up its 27-24 upset of No. 7 Texas.
The game was played in Atlanta because Jacksonville's EverBank Stadium is under renovation; it moves to Tampa Bay next year before returning to Jacksonville. Georgia visits No. 12 Mississippi next, while Florida hosts Oklahoma. (Reporting by the Associated Press)
