South Carolina beat Oklahoma 42-25 on October 31 at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, as quarterback LaNorris Sellers accounted for five touchdowns and the Gamecocks piled up 521 yards of offense; Oklahoma's offense did not reach the end zone until the fourth quarter.

South Carolina led 28-10 at halftime: Sellers opened the scoring with a 15-yard run, and after Kip Lewis tied it with a 30-yard pick-six for Oklahoma, Christian Clark scored, Sellers hit DJ Black for an 84-yard touchdown and found Nyck Harbor from 8 yards, while Oklahoma managed barely 70 yards of offense in the half. 'We've got a lot to fix and not much time to do it,' Oklahoma coach Brent Venables told the broadcast at halftime.

Sellers added an 11-yard scoring run in the third quarter for 35-10. Oklahoma rallied in the fourth behind two John Mateer touchdown passes to Ivan Carreon and a field goal, but with about 13 minutes left Sellers escaped pressure and threw a 79-yard touchdown to Mazeo Bennett Jr. to seal it.

Sellers finished 19 of 24 for 301 yards and three passing touchdowns, adding 96 rushing yards and two scores — 397 total yards, more than Oklahoma's 359 as a team. Mateer went 26 of 43 for 244 yards and two touchdowns. South Carolina improved to 5-3 overall and 3-3 in the SEC with a third straight win; Oklahoma fell to 4-4 and 2-3 in league play.
