Lang Lang Opens European Recital Tour in Munich Tonight

Chinese pianist Lang Lang opens his 2026 European recital tour on November 1 at 8 p.m. at the Isarphilharmonie in Munich, in Germany's state of Bavaria. One of the most prominent Chinese pianists in the world, Lang Lang is scheduled to play more than 50 dates across 15 European countries on the tour.
The itinerary is dense: Stuttgart's Liederhalle on November 8, Dresden's Kulturpalast on November 11, the Halle aux Grains in Toulouse, France, on November 15, the Berlin Philharmonie on November 17 and Wuppertal on November 20. In late November he joins Italian mezzo-soprano Cecilia Bartoli for four Spanish dates: Valencia on November 22, Barcelona's Palau de la Música Catalana on November 24, Zaragoza on November 26 and Madrid's Auditorio Nacional on November 29. December stops include Bordeaux (December 5), Bologna, Italy (December 9) and Zagreb, Croatia (December 11).
According to the Munich event page, tonight's program includes the Prelude and Fugue in C major from Book I of Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier, Mozart's Piano Sonata in C major, K. 545, and Liszt's Liebestraum No. 3. Ticket information is available from each venue and presenter.
Lang Lang played a recital at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles in early October; the European run that follows is among the densest of his recent seasons.
Lang Lang's official channel recently posted his performance of Liszt's Consolation No. 2, recorded for his new album Piano Book 2.
