Dubai Launches Dubai Access Club, Billed as the World's First City-Led Invitation-Only Tourism Membership Programme

Sunday, November 1, 2026 · Travel · GSM News

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the United Arab Emirates, announced on November 1 the launch of the Dubai Access Club, which the Dubai Media Office describes as the world's first city-led, invitation-only tourism membership programme, aimed at international travellers who visit Dubai repeatedly.

According to the Dubai Media Office, invited members will receive exclusive experiences, services and benefits through a membership platform; the invitation criteria, participating businesses and the full list of benefits have not yet been announced. The programme was unveiled alongside a second measure: visitors will be able to apply for single-entry and multiple-entry tourist visas through Visit Dubai, the city's official tourism website, while the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai continues to assess applications and issue visas.

Both initiatives were developed by the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and Digital Dubai under the Shared Digital Channels Initiative, approved by Sheikh Hamdan in February 2025, which brings public and private sector services together across seven unified platforms. Both measures are due to be implemented during November 2026, with further details of the visa service to follow.

Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, said the initiatives are about removing barriers, creating greater value for visitors and giving people more reasons to return to Dubai. The measures form part of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to place the city among the world's top three tourism destinations.
