Sacramento County Mails 493,740 Property Tax Bills; First Installment Due Dec. 10

On November 1, Sacramento County, California, announced that about 493,740 secured property tax bills have been mailed this month and can be paid starting November 1. The bills are mailed only once a year, and owners may pay in two installments: the first was due November 1, with a penalty-free deadline of 5 p.m. on December 10; the second is due February 1, 2027, with a penalty-free deadline of 5 p.m. on April 12, 2027.
The county tax collector's office is in Room 1710 at 700 H Street in Sacramento and accepts in-person payments on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the mailing address is P.O. Box 508, Sacramento. The county reminded owners to pay on time to avoid penalties and late fees.
For Sacramento County property owners, these bills set the year's tax arrangements for homes and commercial real estate, and the approaching first-installment deadline means payments should be completed, or mailing times confirmed, before December 10.
