Denver Airport Opens New Arrivals and Security Areas

Sunday, November 1, 2026 · Society · GSM News

On November 1, Denver International Airport in Denver, Denver County, Colorado, announced that newly renovated arrivals and security areas in the Jeppesen Terminal are now open — another milestone in its Great Hall modernization program. The new international arrivals "meet and greet" area serves international arriving passengers and travelers returning to the terminal via the A Bridge, and the new north security checkpoint has eight lanes, open daily from 12:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., offering a faster security channel for international travelers continuing on their journeys.

Jim Starling, the airport's chief construction and infrastructure officer, said the new areas are designed to improve passenger convenience and the airport experience. The overall Great Hall program is expected to be substantially complete by the end of 2027, with sections opening progressively. For Denver International, a major hub for the Rocky Mountain region, the new checkpoint and arrivals areas will ease peak-hour queues and leave room to phase in the remaining renovation sections.
