Cardinals Rally Past Cowboys 33-30 in Overtime: Minshew Throws Three Touchdowns in Relief

The Arizona Cardinals rallied to beat the Dallas Cowboys 33-30 in overtime on Sunday, November 1, in Arlington, Texas, in Week 8 of the NFL season. According to Reuters, backup quarterback Gardner Minshew led the comeback after entering in the third quarter, and Chad Ryland won it with a 42-yard field goal in overtime; both teams are now 3-5.
Minshew replaced Jacoby Brissett with Arizona trailing and completed 17 of 23 passes for 188 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Tyler Allgeier rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries, and Michael Wilson caught eight passes for 111 yards. Arizona outgained Dallas 467-261 and rushed for 202 yards.
The end of regulation was dramatic: with the Cardinals at the Dallas 13 in the final seconds, Minshew threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Wilson with six seconds left, leaving Arizona an extra point away from a 31-30 win, but Ryland pulled the attempt wide left to send the game to overtime.
In overtime, Josh Sweat sacked Dak Prescott to end the Cowboys' first possession. Arizona then drove 44 yards in eight plays, and Ryland atoned for the miss with the game-winning 42-yard field goal. Dallas had led 27-17 in the fourth quarter on Brandon Aubrey's 35-yard field goal before the Cardinals' comeback.
