NOAA停止Suomi NPP卫星全部数据供应：11月1日起永久生效，用户转用NOAA-21与NOAA-20

NOAA Ends All Suomi NPP Satellite Data Delivery Permanently as of November 1, Users Move to NOAA-21 and NOAA-20
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) permanently ended delivery of all science data products from the Suomi NPP satellite on November 1, with the cutoff taking effect at 13:00 UTC (8:00 a.m. EST). The Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (S-NPP) is a polar-orbiting partnership satellite named for meteorologist Verner Suomi.
NOAA's official announcement lists the discontinued products: all data from the Advanced Technology Microwave Sounder (ATMS), the Ozone Mapping and Profiler Suite (OMPS, both nadir and limb), the Clouds and the Earth's Radiant Energy System (CERES) and the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS), with high-rate data direct broadcast (HRD) also disabled. The Cross-track Infrared Sounder (CrIS) had already ended operational use on December 23, 2025. The cessation is permanent, with no expected end date.
NOAA said all users should transition to science products from NOAA-21 (primary) and NOAA-20 (secondary), which carry similar instruments and provide complementary data, accessible through NOAA's Product Distribution and Access (PDA) system. NOAA CoastWatch noted that its users are mainly affected through VIIRS SNPP products and can contact its help desk for guidance on replacement data.
Suomi NPP was one of the longest-serving members of NOAA's polar-orbiting fleet, and its VIIRS imagery has long been used for ocean color, fisheries, wildfire and weather monitoring. With the shutdown, NOAA's operational polar data now rests on NOAA-20 and NOAA-21.
