Anaheim to Hold Veterans Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. on November 11 at Veterans Monument
The city of Anaheim, in Orange County, California, will hold its Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11, at the city's Veterans Monument, 241 S. Anaheim Boulevard. The ceremony honors those who served in the U.S. armed forces and is free and open to the public.
Bobby McDonald of the Orange County Veterans Advisory Council will emcee the ceremony, Anaheim Mayor Ashleigh Aitken will speak, and U.S. Army Lt. Col. Joshua Miller will deliver the keynote address.
The Anaheim Veterans Monument, on Anaheim Boulevard in the city's downtown area, is the city's landmark honoring local service members, inscribed with the names of Anaheim's fallen from past wars.
The city notes the ceremony is outdoors and attendees should arrive early; city offices adjust hours for the federal holiday. Communities across Orange County will hold commemorations on Veterans Day, November 11.
