Riverside Fire Department Launches Spark of Love Toy Drive November 9 Across City Stations

The City of Riverside Fire Department, in Riverside County, California, announced on October 26 that it will join ABC7 and firefighters across Southern California in the Spark of Love Toy Drive from November 9 to December 11, 2026. Residents may drop off new, unwrapped toys, sports equipment, blankets and gift cards at any Riverside fire station (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) or participating community center, for underserved children and teens ages 0 to 17 in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, Ventura and Riverside counties.
The department asks donors not to leave items unattended if crews are out on a call, and to use another station or a community center instead. Participating centers include Arlanza, Bobby Bonds Park, Orange Terrace, Joyce Jackson, Hunt Park, Ruth H. Lewis, Stratton, La Sierra and Ysmael Villegas community centers.
Families may register from November 16 to December 11 at their local community center with a valid ID, proof of residency in ZIP codes 92501 to 92508 and children's birth certificates. The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department will distribute toys on Thursday, December 17, one toy per child while supplies last.
Over three decades, the Spark of Love drive has collected more than nine million toys. Sponsorship and donation questions go to Fire Community Preparedness Instructor Jayda Timboe at (951) 826-5111.
