OC Parks Releases 2026-27 Trout Stocking Schedule for Six Regional Parks
OC Parks, in Orange County, California, has released its 2026-27 trout stocking schedule: during the week of November 23-27, 2026, trout will be stocked in the lakes at Carbon Canyon, Clark, Laguna Niguel, Mile Square, Tri-City and Yorba Regional Parks, opening the winter fishing season.
The department notes that stocking weeks are scheduled in advance and exact days may shift with weather and fish supply; anglers should check the OC Parks website for updates before heading out. Under California rules, anyone age 16 or older must hold a valid California fishing license.
County regional park lakes are stocked with catfish and trout through the year and are popular close-to-home fishing spots in Southern California. OC Parks reminds anglers to follow daily catch limits and park hours, and to dispose of fishing line properly to protect lake habitat.
The six parks are located in Brea, Buena Park, Laguna Niguel, Fountain Valley, Placentia and Yorba Linda; parking fees and lake hours are listed on each park's page.
