Seahawks Name Darnold, Love and Thomas Captains for Monday Night Game Against the Bears
The Seattle Seahawks of Seattle, King County, Washington, on November 1 named their three captains for the Week 8 Monday night game: quarterback Sam Darnold, safety Julian Love and safety Rodney Thomas II, who will lead the team at home against the Chicago Bears.
Seattle does not appoint season-long captains, rotating the role weekly; two of this week's three captains have already served once this season, as the rotation begins to repeat. The Seahawks are 4-3 after a 20-3 win over the Kansas City Chiefs last week, while the Bears arrive in Seattle at 5-2. The game closes out Week 8 on Monday night.
Ahead of the trade deadline the Seahawks also added eight-time Pro Bowl left guard Quenton Nelson to bolster the offensive line, and the team has released its uniform combination for the game.
