Hawaii Governor's Race Fundraising Gap Nears 10-to-1: Green Raises $3.9 Million to Cordery's $430,800

Fundraising figures in Hawaii's race for governor were reported on November 2: incumbent Democratic Governor Josh Green has raised $3.9 million this cycle, roughly ten times the $430,800 raised by Republican challenger Gary Cordery, and Green reported $1.3 million in cash on hand as of October 28. The figures come from the latest reports of Hawaii's Campaign Spending Commission.
Green's campaign spent more than $400,000 on television and social media advertising between September 27 and October 19, giving him substantial advertising resources for the final stretch. Green is Hawaii's ninth governor; he took office in December 2022 after serving as lieutenant governor, a post he won in 2018.
Early voting in Hawaii ended on November 2, and Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, when voters will choose the governor and other officials.
