Freeport Bridge Closed Weekdays Throughout November for Repairs: 6 A.M. to 6 P.M. Through November 30
In Sacramento, Sacramento County, California, the Sacramento County Department of Transportation announced full weekday closures of the Freeport Bridge throughout November for deck repairs. The bridge will be closed Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., from November 2 through November 30, reopening each evening and remaining open on Saturdays and Sundays.
The Freeport Bridge sits on the east side of the Sacramento River about a mile south of Cosumnes River Boulevard, and about four miles north of Clarksburg on the west side, connecting South River Road in Yolo County with Highway 160 in Sacramento County. The deck repair project costs $300,000, funded by the Sacramento County Road Fund.
During closures, detour signs will direct travelers south to cross at the Paintersville Bridge, and a detour map is available on the county transportation department's website.
