The Hospitality Show Opens in Miami: Hotel Owners and Operators From Across the U.S. Tackle Business Challenges

Monday, November 2, 2026 · Travel · GSM News

In Miami, Miami-Dade County, Florida, The Hospitality Show 2026 runs from November 2 to 4 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, bringing together hotel owners, operators, developers, management companies and technology suppliers from across the United States to address the industry's commercial and operational challenges. Produced by Questex in partnership with the American Hotel and Lodging Association, the show hosts more than 400 solution providers; November 2 is the opening day with registration, leadership sessions and networking, and the main exhibition floor opens November 3 through November 4, organized around six solution pavilions focused on areas including hotel technology and operational efficiency.

Alongside the show, a new U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention requirement drew attention from the airline industry: from 11:59 p.m. Eastern on November 3, air travelers flying to the United States from abroad must provide a signed attestation that they have not been in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the 21 days before boarding. It applies to flights departing foreign countries for the U.S. on or after that time and is scheduled to run until December 18 unless amended or withdrawn. The measure is a public health precaution linked to the Bundibugyo strain of Ebola, with airlines responsible for collecting the attestation before boarding; IATA and Airlines for America have raised concerns about the short implementation window.
