All 134 Minnesota House Seats Up Nov. 3 With the Chamber Split 67-67; 31 Districts Are Battlegrounds

All 134 seats in the Minnesota House of Representatives will be contested on Tuesday, November 3. According to Ballotpedia's November 2 analysis, control of the chamber is split after both parties won 67 seats in the 2024 elections, so this year's results will decide control of the House unless the parties again win 67 seats each.
The analysis notes that 57 of 67 incumbent Democrats and 50 of 66 incumbent Republicans are running for re-election; Democrats are running in all 134 districts and Republicans in 117. Five Republican incumbents are seeking re-election in districts where Kamala Harris placed first in the 2024 presidential election. Based on a history of recent competitive elections, Ballotpedia identified 31 battleground districts, 21 held by Republican incumbents and 10 by Democratic incumbents.
The House results could also change Minnesota's trifecta status: neither party currently controls the governorship and both chambers. Governor Tim Walz is a Democrat and Democrats hold a majority in the state Senate; the governorship and all 67 state Senate seats are also on the November 3 ballot. The Minnesota House is one of 88 state legislative chambers holding elections in 2026.
