Sunday, November 1, 2026 · Sports · GSM News

Atlanta United beat Toronto FC 3-1 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia, on November 1, ending a six-game winless run at home.

Miguel Almiron opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, Cooper Sanchez doubled the lead in the 40th and Alexey Miranchuk made it 3-0 in the 51st; Almiron and Miranchuk each finished with a goal and an assist. Substitute Lewis Morgan scored Toronto's only goal in the 79th minute.

Toronto had taken points in four of its previous five matches, but the loss eliminated the club from playoff contention for the sixth straight season; Toronto is 0-5-5 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium since October 2017. Atlanta, 9-18-6 on the season, also missed the playoffs, but the home finale win salvaged some pride.

Atlanta next visits New York on November 7, while Toronto travels to Philadelphia the same day.
