University of Missouri athletic director Laird Veatch announced in Columbia, Boone County, Missouri, on November 2 that the university has mutually agreed to part ways with women's soccer coach Stefanie Golan after six seasons. Veatch said in a news release that the school thanks Golan for leading the program over the last six years and will conduct a national search to identify the program's next leader.

Golan, who is from St. Charles, Missouri, became the second head coach in program history in 2021, taking over for Bryan Blitz, who had coached the program since its inception in 1996. Her career record at Missouri was 31 wins, 56 losses and 15 draws, and the Tigers never finished a season above .500 in her tenure. This season the team finished 5-9-3 overall and 2-6-2 in SEC play.

Missouri's season ended with a 0-0 draw against LSU on November 1; the team needed a win to make the 12-team SEC Tournament field for the first time under Golan. Missouri had extended Golan in April 2025 through the 2028 season, and under the terms of that extension the university owes her $45,000 for terminating the deal without cause.
