Independent Osborn Wraps Up 14-Stop Tour in Kearney Ahead of November 3 Senate Clash With Ricketts

Independent U.S. Senate candidate Dan Osborn made his final central Nebraska stop on November 2 at the Nebraska Firefighters Museum and Education Center in Kearney, Buffalo County, Nebraska, wrapping up the 14-stop 'Mama, I'm Coming Home' tour that began October 29 in Gothenburg and passed through South Sioux City, Nebraska City and Omaha. His remaining stops that day were Columbus and an evening stop in La Vista.
Osborn thanked supporters and took questions from the audience and media on hemp policy in Nebraska, mental health, Medicare and Medicaid, and education across the state. 'The plane's built, and we know how to fly it. We've been running as a well-oiled machine,' he said, also recalling his earlier 93-county tour of the state.
Osborn, an Omaha steamfitter, is running for office for the second time; in 2024 he fell six percentage points short against incumbent Senator Deb Fischer. His Election Day message was 'Rock the Vote,' and he plans an election-night watch party in Omaha. He faces Republican incumbent Senator Pete Ricketts, with the seat decided on November 3.
