Mississippi Democratic Senate and House Nominees Hold Three Joint Election-Eve Rallies

Mississippi Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Scott Colom and Third Congressional District House nominee Michael Chiaradio held three joint campaign rallies across the district on the evening of November 2, making a final push before the November 3 election.
The first rally was at 5:30 p.m. at Meridian City Hall in Meridian, Lauderdale County, followed at 7:30 p.m. by the Barney Brown Senior Citizens Center in De Kalb, Kemper County, and a final stop at 8:30 p.m. at the Noxubee County Courthouse in Macon. The two candidates first spoke as nominees at the state Democratic Party's annual dinner in Starkville, Oktibbeha County, in September 2025.
Colom, a district attorney, is challenging Republican Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith. Mississippi has not elected a Democratic U.S. senator since 1982. Chiaradio is challenging Republican Congressman Michael Guest in the Third District, where Democrats did not field a candidate in 2024.
Organizers reminded voters that Mississippi polls are open November 3 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The results will decide the state's seats in the U.S. Senate and House.
