Fairmont Returns to New Orleans With Its 100th Hotel Worldwide: 250 Rooms Now Open

Fairmont New Orleans officially opened on November 2 in New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, marking the brand's return to the city after two decades — and Fairmont's 100th hotel globally.
According to Fairmont Hotels & Resorts' announcement via PR Newswire, the hotel sits in the Central Business District within walking distance of the French Quarter and moments from Caesars Superdome, occupying 17 stories of the former Bank of New Orleans building, a 31-story landmark designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in 1970. It offers 250 guest rooms and suites with interiors by Rockwell Group, while the Fairmont Gold floors on the 29th and 30th stories will be unveiled in December. The project was developed by Kailas Companies and is operated by Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, part of Accor, with rates starting at $459 per night.
Dining comes from celebrated chef Emeril Lagasse and his team, including Delmonico Steakhouse and The Café by Emeril, alongside more than 19,000 square feet of meeting and event space for gatherings of 10 to 500 guests; a rooftop pool, spa and fitness center will follow in early December. Fairmont CEO Omer Acar said celebrating the brand's landmark 100th hotel in New Orleans is "a moment of perfect alignment," calling the return after two decades a joyful homecoming.
