2026 CFDA Fashion Awards: Rachel Scott Wins Womenswear Designer of the Year Again, Ralph Lauren Takes Menswear
The winners of the 2026 Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Fashion Awards were announced on the evening of November 2 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, New York: Rachel Scott, of Diotima, won American Womenswear Designer of the Year; Ralph Lauren won American Menswear Designer of the Year; Ana Khouri won American Accessory Designer of the Year; and Colleen Allen won the Google American Emerging Designer of the Year award.
Keke Palmer hosted the ceremony, presided over by CFDA Chairman Thom Browne and Interim CEO Hildy Kuryk, with Anna Wintour, Matt Damon, Hailey Bieber, Cole Escola and Zoë Kravitz among the presenters. The four competitive categories were revealed live on stage, while the honorary awards had been announced in advance.
Scott previously won the womenswear prize in 2024 and took it again this year, ahead of fellow nominees Catherine Holstein for Khaite, Michael Kors, Tory Burch and Wes Gordon for Carolina Herrera. The other menswear nominees were Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne for Public School New York, Thom Browne, Todd Snyder and Willy Chavarria. The emerging designer nominees also included Emily Dawn Long, Julia Ferentinos for Juju Vera, Julian Louie for Aubero and Chinese designer Zane Li for Lii.
Among the honorees, Anthony Vaccarello received the International Designer of the Year Award; Tory Burch received the Positive Change Award; photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin received the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award; Linda Fargo received the Founder's Award in honor of Eleanor Lambert; Eva Chen received the Media Award in honor of Eugenia Sheppard; Susan Cianciolo received the Isabel Toledo Board of Directors' Tribute; architect Peter Marino received the Fashion Icon Award; and GAP Inc received the Innovation Award presented by Amazon Fashion.
The CFDA Fashion Awards, presented by Amazon Fashion, are among the highest annual honors in American fashion, with winners chosen by vote of the CFDA Fashion Awards Guild.
