A Very Furry Christmas Celebration at Sesame Place San Diego, in Chula Vista, San Diego County, California, opens on Saturday, November 7, 2026, and runs on select dates through January 3, 2027. The park's official FAQ says the event takes place on Saturdays and Sundays plus select dates in November and December, with hours on the park's operating calendar.
According to the park, the celebration fills the park with thousands of twinkling lights and features the Sesame Street Christmas Cavalcade, the Furry Friends Christmas Dance Party and a daily Grand Illumination of a 24-foot Christmas tree. New this year is a Christmas Tree Maze.
Guests can take photos with Santa Claus and with Sesame Street friends in holiday outfits, including Cookie Monster dressed as Cookie Claus. Seasonal dining is offered at the Sunny Day Café, and holiday merchandise is sold at Hooper's Store.
The park's official event page says the celebration is included with park admission and no reservations are needed; admission is also included with 2026 and 2027 season passes. The park is at 2052 Entertainment Circle, Chula Vista, CA 91911, the only Sesame Street theme park on the West Coast and a Certified Autism Center.
